Your wedding timeline

Your wedding timeline

For a while now I have been working behind the scenes for couples to produce a run sheet or timeline for their wedding day.

2020 really changed the landscape for wedding photographers, moving forward what are photographers going to look like to couples?

I want to offer more to a wider range of couples as in the past I have only drawn up timelines for weddings that I was a part of. I’m happy to announce that when weddings start back up later this year I am offering my time line service to any couple, even if I’m not shooting your wedding. So if you are eloping or having a smaller wedding I’m here for you. If you have a small budget and the photography package you have does not have a solid timeline built specifically for you, I’m here to assist.

I will only be charging for my time and you will receive a professional and personal timeline that will set you up to succeed and have a amazing wedding day!

Ask yourself do you want to go into your wedding day with confidence and know that you will have time for everything that is important to you?

I hate hearing couples say that there wasn’t enough time for enjoying the moment or that things they had planned didn’t work out because a timeline that wasn’t prepared properly for their circumstances. Timelines only work for the couple they were prepared for, if nothing else believe this!

Timelines are like anything there are great ones and there are bad ones. Bad ones generally are created in a rush, through inexperience or with poor information. Unfortunately a bad one leaves you with regrets on your wedding day.

Everything counts when drawing up a timeline – time of year, locations before and after the ceremony, where you will all be before the ceremony, if anyone has a surprise for the other person. The list goes on and I have seen so many things you wouldn’t even think about go wrong on a wedding day. A great timeline will afford you time to fix the little things that may pop up with human error not bad planning.

I am a planner and I live for behind the scenes structure on a wedding day it makes my job so much more rewarding and enjoyable.

If you want more info shoot me a message 0432 592065 or through my socials or webpage.

I will be charging a flat fee of $99.00 for a wedding day timeline and it will be put together with your unique set of circumstances. A timeline can be three + hours of work collectively.

If I’m shooting your wedding this is free and already taken care of!

I will provide a draft and you get to revise and discuss changes to suit your needs. The final copy will be in your hands one month before your big day which allows for last minute changes to be included and gives you the security of knowing a month out your plan for the day is solid.

Follow these easy steps –

Pay with the secure paypal button below (credit cards accepted)

Once confirmation comes through I will email or text (your preference) a easy to fill in question sheet to help me frame out your wedding day.

By email or text whichever you prefer I work until you are thrilled with the timeline. Remember I am all about making sure your day is exactly what you want and all of the details will be decided by what you value, not what other couples or venues think will work best.

Bellingdale Farm

Bellingdale Farm

Bellingdale Farm is the newest venue on offer from the owners of Summergrove Estate, Situated in Nunderi minutes from Murwillumbah it is positioned perfectly for stunning location photos on and around the property. While I have not had the pleasure of seeing this property it promises to quickly become a sought after wedding venue available in the beautiful northern NSW area. I have shot sessions and wedding portraits around the whole region and they are always stunning!

The image above is of a private property in the same region that was dressed for a small intimate wedding.

As weekend dates are booked well in advance of 24 months in some cases its great to see a number of new quality venues popping up and also the weekday intimate wedding gathering popularity. In either case I’m eager to book weddings at Bellingdale of any size and in particular let people know that I have great availabilities for smaller intimate weddings this year especially in the current uncertain climate where travel is becoming a risk people don’t want to take financially.

Here is the link to their website and information I would be more than happy to chat if you want to scout the area or venue.

Wedding venue guide between Brisbane & Byron

Wedding venue guide between Brisbane & Byron

Last week I met a friend at Baked at Ancora we like to catch up somewhere different each time as there is always something new to try! The other reason I chose Ancora is I’ve been dying to check out what they have to offer as a wedding venue, and it did not disappoint. It also gave me the motivation to do something I’ve been thinking about for a while now which is showcasing wedding venues that I think are great between Brisbane and Byron, not including pop up locations or elopement spots. I sat down today and wrote out a list and there are 66 of them! Wow! Over the next few days I’m going to make a dedicated page on my website and start filling in the info. I thought I’d start with all of the A’s because we all know I like to organise.
Ardeena
Ancora – Weddings
Austinvilla Estate
Altitude 261
Albert River Wines
I aim to speak to the coordinators of each venue and write a small bio/take some images of their spaces so when I’m finished I’ll have a comprehensive list to help couples start their search. That and I genuinely love exploring new spots!

How cute is this little caravan at Ancora! Such a fab little area that would transform at night under the festoon lights.

I used to live in Bilambil so I know some amazing spots so close to Ancora if you wanted beautiful portraits on your wedding day.

What your wedding morning looks like to me.

What your wedding morning looks like to me.

What your wedding morning looks like for me.
I’ll have a small sleep in and not run, I don’t want to be tired at the end of the day. I’ll have breakfast at my house and a coffee from my local coffee shop, I purposely won’t eat anything I’ve never eaten before in case it doesn’t agree with me. I’ll pack all of my gear and snacks in the car well before I leave so nothing gets left behind, when I leave I only then have to get myself out the door.
I make sure I have a 30 min buffer for traffic. When I get to the first location, I’m usually only shooting briefly (mostly groom prep) so I cover details and events and when I’m done I’ll then travel to where you are getting ready. I blend in to your morning quietly working through all of the mental lists of a wedding day I have. Because I have a run sheet for myself and I’ve already prepared you for what I’ll be doing you won’t be thinking about me at all. I won’t have to ask you for anything because we are organised. I get to meet the important people in your life and I have fun, I love getting to know people and to see your wedding day unfold and most importantly see you love what the day brings. I’ll snack between locations and you won’t notice but I’m hydrated and not hungry. I’ll organise your photos after the ceremony and deliver you back to the guests on the time we’ve agreed on, and once again I’ll blend back into the party to finish our coverage. When we leave I get home and pop all of my gear into my safe no matter what. The next morning all of the downloading and backup starts, your images will be stored in 3 places and the cards from the cameras kept aside until your images are delivered. My cameras both shoot to dual cards so there is always two copies of everything even before I back up. I guarantee delivery time so you’ll always know when to expect the images and gallery! The reason I’m so invested in telling you all of this is today in a forum I belong to a couple were told that their wedding footage had been lost, gone forever! Don’t take a chance with your day, you are paying a professional price for a reason. Professionals take precautions with every detail because our business is your wedding day!

After the wedding what to do with your images!

After the wedding what to do with your images!

Lets talk about wedding photos not specifically the taking of the photos or how the photographer (me) was great for you on your wedding day but how are you going to use those photos and what will be their significance to you in the future?

The things I’m going to write about today are naturally the things I believe and practice as it matters to me how you look at your wedding day photos in the future.

Galleries – you should be able to access your wedding day gallery anywhere. As long as you have a phone or device and a wifi connection you are good to go.
Imagine you want to post something on social media or show someone a great image, you should be able to do this from your phone. Having a set of folders relevant to each section of your wedding keeps all of your memories organised and easily accessible.
As part of your wedding gallery you will have access to an app for your phone that allows you to store up to 200 of your favourite images as a slideshow!

Albums or coffee table books – get those beautiful images in print, something tangible for people to pick up in your home and talk about. There will always be hero shots that you love and what better way to honour those images than creating prints or canvas, large acrylic art pieces, or acrylic circles. Art is always a great choice!

I don’t disappear after your gallery is delivered I’m here for you with advice and suggestions when you want to honour your images for the future.
